The 2017 Oscars finale was the biggest mix up in Oscar history! When presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were announcing the 2017 Best Picture winner they announced that the movie “La La Land” had won. The actors and producers of the movie came up on stage to accept their awards and their glory was soon taken away when the producers of the Oscars came out on stage to tell the presenters that they had announced the wrong movie title. The two presenters deeply apologized to the audience and cast of the movie and said that the real winner of Best Picture was “Moonlight.” Everyone was in complete shock when hearing this news. Beatty and Dunaway were given the wrong card backstage when going to announce the Best Picture winner. They were given the card for Best Actress so the card read “Emma Stone ‘La La Land’.” This made Beatty and Dunaway confused when presenting so they just said “La La Land.” The issue was resolved in the end and the producers of the Oscars and the host, Jimmy Kimmel, apologized to everyone sincerely for this dramatic mix-up.
