I would like to take this time to congratulate and applaud the staff and students here at Madison for all of the hard work they have been doing the past couple of months.
On Friday, November 4, 2011, the faculty and staff wore their favorite pair of blue jeans along with a T-shirt that read “Blue Jeans for Babies” while supporting the March of Dimes.
Blue Jeans for Babies is a fun day that helps save babies born too small and too soon while also being able to wear a favorite pair of blue jeans to work.
Funds raised through Blue Jeans for Babies support March of Dimes research and programs that help all moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.
Once again, thank you to the Madison Academic faculty and staff for raising a total of 418 dollars to be able to give to the March of Dimes.
I would also like to applaud Aneesa Sood for the creating and launching of her own anti-bullying program called “But Words Will Never Hurt Me” on September 22 at the Jackson Madison County Library. Sood said, “I created ‘But Words Will Never Hurt Me’ because I want to create a positive atmosphere at school.”
Sood also said one way she plans on doing this is by getting several of her friends to join her.
Congratulations again, Aneesa Sood.
It is an honor to be a part of all the great staff and students who are making a difference in the community of Jackson and also at Madison Academic.
